'Te Xhoni' Cafe
On World Down Syndrome Day 2017, we created a platform where our children and young adults would attend life skills courses, a nice environment within our Center where parents can wait for their children while they attend therapies and a place that would contribute toward raising awareness on the potential of individuals with Down Syndrome. This platform it is a café named ‘te Xhoni’ – short for Xhonatan (Jonathan). We were hoping that in the future, the café would turn into a source of funds to sponsor the free services we provide for children and young adults with Down Syndrome enrolled at our Center and their parents.
This year we decided to boost the Café through the project “Empowering Jonathan Center with financial sustainability through its social business”, by investing more in the services quality of the cafe, in promoting it and bringing it to the level of being a good competitor with other businesses. We aim for this cafe to promote the values of our Organization and bring value to the society by its model, being so a good example for how other NGO may be self sustainable.
We are proud to announce that this project has started to be implemented Thanks to “EMBRACE - Entrepreneurship Models Building Relations and Creative Economy” project implemented by Partners Albania and financed by the Delegation of Europian Union in Albania.
Come visit us at Cafe “Te Xhoni” inside our Center, located at a very strategic street of Tirana, Rruga e Kavajes, 200 m above the German Hospital.
